At the annual Dan Davin Competition four Verdon College students made it into the final of the Secondary School Students Short Story Writing Competition. In a field of over 40 entries, Matt Short, Amber Hilton (both year 13), Emily Lough (Year 12), made the final 10, while Emma Borland year 13, earned third place. We are extremely proud of our senior writers. The competition was judged by NZ Writer and Poet, James Norcliffe. A big thank you must also go to Mrs Crawford and Ms Whatley for the support they provided in preparing our students for this competition.
